feat(head-turn): rebuild the demo from the published packages, keep the prototype beside it - #103
Conversation
…he prototype beside it The head-turn demo was a standalone prototype: a bundled Pixi runtime moving its own 224k-triangle scene. It is now a rig-c rig built and played only by published packages — @rig-c/parts 1.71.0 (depth-sheet turn for the head and the body), @rig-c/pose 1.4.0 (a left/right/up/down clip keyed onto the turn dials), rig-c 2.79.0, @rig-c/play 1.20.0 and @rig-c/pixi 0.1.5 on pixi.js 8.22.0. package-manifest.json records each name@version with its registry integrity. The page has two modes: the pointer turns the dials (consumer code on the page), and the clip plays the keyed turn. The prototype is kept byte-for-byte under demos/head-turn/prototype/ until the new page is accepted. Measured: - reproducible from the manifest: a clean install of exactly those versions rebuilt every bundle file byte-identically - dials: every keyed value inside its slider's range (yaw ±15 keyed ±12, pitch ±12 keyed ±9, body yaw ±15) - sign and order: pointer right turns the face to the viewer's right, pointer up turns it up; the clip runs left, right, up, down - budget, DPR 2 WebGL on the remote pool's browser (SwiftShader), 6 interleaved pairs, 1080 frames per mode: pointer and clip p50 0.1 ms, p99 0.4 ms - the turn is depth x view change: the turn, tilt and body_turn carriers carry translate timelines only - site build, verify and link check green; 72 tests pass The verifier's forbidden-provenance list names generic local-path patterns only, not private folder names. HQ: merging on the owner's instruction to deploy and eye-check on the live site (owner, 2026-10-28). The prototype stays at /demos/head-turn/prototype/. |
Closes #102 — the last stage of the depth-map plan. The head-turn demo is rebuilt from published packages only; the prototype stays byte-for-byte at
demos/head-turn/prototype/until the new page is accepted. Not merged until the owner's eye check — merging deploys the page.
