fix(screenshots): never leave uploads in storage/app/tmp - #419
Interval with screenshot (IntervalController::create): the upload is no longer copied to storage/app/tmp. The after-action listener runs synchronously within the request, so it passes the UploadedFile to ScreenshotService::saveScreenshot() (as putScreenshot already does). Nothing is written to tmp, so nothing is left there when the screenshot is not kept (project forbidden, or optional and the user's screenshots off) or when the interval is not created. The delayed queued delete is removed.
Offline screenshots (uploadOfflineScreenshots): each extracted screenshot is saved within the request, inside the existing try. screenshot_id is cleared and the interval saved there too. A screenshot that can't be read or stored now gets screenshot_not_attached in the result. Before, screenshot_attached was returned before a queued closure tried to read the file. The temporary directory is deleted in finally when the request ends, on success and on failure (including the 400 for a wrong file name). The delayed queued delete and the queued closures that read local files are removed. Thumbnails are still queued (GenerateScreenshotThumbnail reads from the default disk). The loop moved into a private attachOfflineScreenshots(), and the directory path relative to the local disk is now tmp/<name> instead of a regex match on the absolute path.
Cleanup of existing leftovers: new command cattr:tmp:clean [--hours=24]. It deletes files and directories directly in storage/app/tmp of the local disk that were last modified at least --hours ago (positive integer, default 24). Newer entries, which can belong to running requests, are kept. Symbolic links are removed, never followed. Nothing outside that directory is touched. It is scheduled daily in routes/console.php.
Behaviour change
Offline screenshot upload is now synchronous: the response comes back after all screenshots in the archive are encoded and stored. The response's interval objects of attached screenshots now have screenshot_id: null.
Measured with the runtime image (PHP 8.3, GD): ~70-80 ms per 1920x1080 screenshot to decode, encode to JPEG q50 and write to the local disk. On S3 each screenshot also needs one PUT. That puts one offline workday (8 h at the default 5-minute interval, ~96 screenshots, an archive of roughly 30-90 MB) at ~8 s on the local disk and roughly 15-30 s on S3. Limits: request body 512 MiB (Caddy request_body max_size, PHP upload_max_filesize/post_max_size), and Octane max_execution_time 90 s. A very large archive (several days offline, roughly 1000+ screenshots on the local disk or a few hundred on slow S3) can hit the 90 s limit. The temporary directory is still removed in that case, and anything left by a killed worker is removed by cattr:tmp:clean.
With storage.type: s3 in the Helm chart, storage/app/tmp is an emptyDir per Pod, and the scheduled cleanup runs in the scheduler Pod, so it does not reach the web Pods' tmp directories. Those are cleared when a Pod restarts, and php artisan cattr:tmp:clean can be run in a web Pod by hand. With the shared PVC and in the all-in-one image, the scheduled task covers the web container.
Tests
tests/Feature/TimeIntervals/ScreenshotTmpFilesTest.php (the queue is faked, as when the worker runs in another container):
interval with screenshot for project required, optional + user required, optional + user forbidden, project forbidden: the screenshot is kept or not as expected, and storage/app/tmp is empty;
interval creation that fails after validation (exception in creating): 500, and tmp is empty;
offline upload: the result says screenshot_attached, the screenshot exists, screenshot_id is cleared, the thumbnail job is queued, and the tmp directory is removed;
broken screenshot in the archive: screenshot_not_attached, screenshot_id is kept, and the tmp directory is removed;
archive with a wrong file name: 400, and the tmp directory is removed.
tests/Feature/Storage/CleanTmpFilesTest.php: only old entries in tmp are deleted (files and directories). New entries, files outside tmp, and the targets of symbolic links are kept. --hours sets the threshold, invalid values are rejected, and a missing tmp directory is fine.
Without the fix, all 12 new tests fail (8 controller failures, plus 4 for the missing command). Full suite: 391 tests / 2057 assertions before, 403 tests / 2112 assertions after, all passing. phpcs on the changed files: 0 errors, no new warnings. git diff --check is clean.
The PR changes online and offline screenshot handling to avoid temporary-file copies and process offline archives during the request. It adds a scheduled command that removes aged entries from local temporary storage, with feature tests for screenshot handling and cleanup.

Summary
Screenshot processing and request cleanup app/Http/Controllers/Api/IntervalController.php, tests/Feature/TimeIntervals/ScreenshotTmpFilesTest.php
Online uploads pass the validated uploaded file directly to screenshot saving. Offline archives are processed during the request, and the temporary directory is removed afterward. Tests cover screenshot retention, processing results, and temporary-file cleanup.
The new command removes eligible aged entries from the local tmp directory and is scheduled to run daily. Tests cover age thresholds, invalid values, and a missing directory.

Explanation
The title "fix(screenshots): never leave uploads in storage/app/tmp" matches the main change. The PR stops interval screenshot uploads from copying files into storage/app/tmp, processes offline uploads synchronously, and adds a scheduled cattr:tmp:clean command for leftover files. The title names the core goal, though it does not mention the cleanup command or the synchronous offline processing. That gap is minor and does not make the title misleading.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #408 requires cleanup for online interval screenshots, synchronous offline attachment without a shared queue filesystem, orphan cleanup, and tests. The PR passes valid uploads directly to ScreenshotService, processes offline screenshots during the request, removes the extraction directory in finally, reports failed attachments, and adds cattr:tmp:clean with daily scheduling. The added tests cover required, optional, disabled, failed, offline, and cleanup cases. The reported full suite passes.

Explanation
The changes remain connected to issue #408. The cleanup command, scheduler entry, controller changes, and tests support temporary-file cleanup or queue-independent screenshot attachment. No unrelated change is identified.

- Interval create: pass the uploaded file straight to saveScreenshot()
in the (synchronous) after-action listener instead of copying it to tmp
and deleting it from a delayed job, which never ran when the screenshot
was not kept and ran on another Pod's disk with separate workers.
- Offline upload: save screenshots within the request and delete the
extracted directory in finally; failures are reported as
screenshot_not_attached instead of being lost in a queued closure.
- cattr:tmp:clean (daily) removes leftovers older than --hours=24.
