The default ghost name template appended " (Reddit)", which no other network does, and neither megabridge nor the SDK override it. Existing ghosts are renamed the next time a room they're in syncs, and self-hosted bridges keep the template already in their config.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

No other network suffixes contact names, and neither megabridge nor the SDK
override this default.

Live-tested on the same build (head b6e4146): the generated example config now has {{ .Username }} (main has the suffix); with that template, a ghost in an active room was renamed to the plain username on its next sync (member event and ghost row), and a ghost in an idle room kept the old name until activity. Downtime catch-up and no echo unchanged.
