Stacked on #1805. DCL LIBRARY on a .A file is an OBJECT library (ar container of the .OBJ members LINK searches); the port's ar.exe (vms-ar.c: a command file running
library /replace/create libx.a x.o,...) runs on OVMX; the xgcclink gate builds TWOA/TWOB, makes LIBTWO.A with AR, links TWO.EXE against it — GCC and AR as DCL foreign commands — and compares the image with the cross toolchain's. Host DCL test with oracle + negative controls (tests/dcl/test_library_dot_a.sh).🤖 Generated with Claude Code
