I’m the founder of Sensibee, a nature-tech company building automated, non-lethal insect monitoring systems using AI and computer vision.
I’m also Professor of Evolutionary Genomics at Queen Mary University of London. I created SequenceServer to make BLAST of private/unpublished datasets easy. I've done a lot of work on evolution of insect societies - and supergenes in fire ants!
I'm a programme Director at ARIA, where I lead the Engineering Ecosystem Resilience efforts.
- Scaling automated insect monitoring across the UK and internationally
- Making biodiversity data more continuous, robust and actionable
- Developing practical AI and computer-vision tools for ecological monitoring
