Hi!

There is a dedicated nonfree repository for closed-source packages.

The Brave case might be a bit tricky as its license is open source, but other distributions typically package or repackage the official binaries. That said, browser forks “are generally not accepted” anyway.

As for the commit message, it should follow the rules outlined in CONTRIBUTING.md. For a new package, it should be New package: <pkgname>-<version>.
