Installation

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/viphacker-100/ADVWebRecon
cd ADVWebRecon
  1. Install required dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt

🐍 You're hitting Kali Linux's restrictions on installing Python packages system-wide. This is a safeguard to prevent breaking your system's package management. Here's how you can bypass it safely:

✅ Recommended Solution: Use a Virtual Environment

  1. Create a virtual environment:

    python3 -m venv venv
  2. Activate it:

    source venv/bin/activate
  3. Install requirements inside the venv:

    pip install -r requirements.txt

This isolates your packages and avoids conflicts with system-wide packages.

🛠 Alternative (if you want to run CLI tools globally):

  • Use pipx (recommended for CLI-based tools):

    sudo apt install pipx
    pipx install package-name
  • Or, if you're really sure and willing to take risks:

    pip install --break-system-packages -r requirements.txt

⚠️ Not recommended unless you know what you're doing. Can break your Python setup.

Usage

  • --timeout: Request timeout in seconds (default: 10)
  • -v, --verbose: Enable verbose output
  • -i, --interactive: Run in interactive mode

Examples

  1. Basic scan with output file:
python web_recon.py -u https://example.com -o results.json
  1. Interactive mode:
python web_recon.py -u https://example.com -i
  1. Verbose output with custom threads:
python web_recon.py -u https://example.com -v -t 10
