Summary

  • Prepare the 0.17.0 stable release from the latest main.
  • Align workspace, Cargo, and app version surfaces and add 12 release highlights in all nine shipped locales.
  • Refresh the models.dev snapshot and validate its structure before tagging.
  • Correct the release runbook so the manual catalog refresh matches the actual version script.

Validation

  • node scripts/check-release-docs.mjs 0.17.0
  • node --test scripts/release-version-check.test.mjs
  • vitest run packages/shared/src/changelog.test.ts
  • node docs/scripts/check-locales.mjs
  • node docs/scripts/check-docs.mjs
  • git diff --check

The equivalent direct Node/Vitest commands passed. The pnpm wrapper could not use the worktree's shared dependency symlink; base main CI and docs checks passed at 2e74898dd70e.

Align the shipped application and documentation version surfaces before cutting the next stable release. Add localized notes for the user-facing changes since 0.16.1.

Refresh the bundled model catalog and make the release preflight reject invalid catalog data, so release automation can catch a bad snapshot before a tag is created.
