fix(ui): make range slider vertically centerable

Motivation

Fixes #1202. The <input type="range"> element's default display is inline-block, which aligns it to the text baseline. This causes it to sit slightly lower than the vertical center inside container boxes. Changing the display to block and aligning the root wrapper items vertically resolves this vertical offset, centering the range slider perfectly.
