What happened?

After Bitkit returns from the background, the on-chain connection can take about 20 s to come back. During that time an on-chain payment screen, including a Paykit or Pubky Shop payment, shows no sign that Bitkit is reconnecting, so users are likely to leave the screen or the app before they can pay.

Expected behavior

While the connection comes back, on-chain payment screens show a connecting state, and the payment screen opens on its own once the wallet has synced. If it takes too long, a connection-issues state shows and keeps retrying.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Leave Bitkit in the background long enough for the Electrum server to drop the connection (about 10 minutes on staging).
2. Return and start an on-chain payment, for example from a Pubky Shop checkout.
3. The screen shows nothing while the connection comes back.
