pnpm 11 cannot install dependencies because node:sqlite DatabaseSync methods are missing #2150

Companion StackBlitz issue to pnpm issue pnpm/pnpm#15649

Describe the bug

pnpm 11 cannot install dependencies in StackBlitz WebContainers because the WebContainers implementation of node:sqlite is missing DatabaseSync methods required by pnpm, including exec().

pnpm 11 replaced the JSON-per-package store index with a SQLite database in Apr 2026:

Steps to reproduce

1. Visit the reproduction URL above
2. Install pnpm 11 using the StackBlitz workarounds detailed in issue #2149 and observe that pnpm 11 can now print its version

Expected behavior

pnpm 11 installs dependencies successfully in StackBlitz WebContainers

More generally, WebContainers should support the node:sqlite DatabaseSync methods available in Node.js 22 that pnpm 11 relies on, including exec().

Parity with Local

• I have run the project in my local machine and I could not reproduce the issue.
