Supported tool configuration adapters and shared review panel #252
Description
Refs #83. Implement the recorded supported adapter boundary on the cumulative v0.9 stack.
Acceptance:
- Declared supported fields with descriptions and bounded reads; runtime validation.
- Proposed supported-value preview excludes unknown config and secrets.
- Explicit confirmation before application; cancel leaves original untouched.
- Preserve unknown settings, use exclusive backup and atomic replacement, reject stale proposals and symlink/oversized files.
- Reuse Starship native CLI as the first real consumer, with existing prompt editor compatibility.
- Shared keyboard-first configuration panel available to /tools Configure; NO_COLOR, Safe glyph and narrow fallback.
- Failure leaves original valid; no generic file editor, shell-hook edit or terminal appearance control.
- Focused tests plus full suite, build, typecheck, diff check; Node 22/26 cumulative CI. Physical QA deferred to the additive v0.9 checklist.
Depends on #183 modernization. No merge/release or package-version change. Keep issue open during development.

Implemented in #254, feature/v09-supported-tool-config at 56ba4bc, stacked above #183. Shared supported-field model/panel has Starship native module configuration as its real consumer; prepared supported-only preview, default-No apply, runtime validation, unknown-setting preservation, exclusive backup, stale checks and atomic replacement. No arbitrary file editor or public schema change.
Focused 18/18 and installed Starship temp staging/backup/apply passed. Build/typecheck/diff check passed. Earlier local suite 743/743; final 742/743 hit unchanged tmux teardown timeout. Final Node 22/26 cumulative CI passed: https://github.com/raiseCatError/notMyShell/actions/runs/36854182889 . Physical QA deferred to docs/qa/v0.9.0-physical-qa.md. PR remains unmerged and issue open until release. Parent #83 findings remain authoritative.

Implemented on the v0.16 branch (PR #303,
feature/v016-platform-portability-agents). Supported configuration adapters and shared review panel (Starship as the real consumer; exclusive backup, atomic replace, stale-proposal rejection):src/tools/SupportedConfiguration.ts. It was part of the integrated build the maintainer physically validated in the earlier v0.16 QA pass; closing with the implementation.
