Bump yt-dlp 2026.7.4 → 2026.8.19 (TikTok extractor fix) - #2
Merged
Conversation
2026.8.19 fixes the TikTok extractor and its formats extraction, adds share-URL support, fixes Instagram logged-in extraction, and refreshes the YouTube player clients (android_vr dropped from the defaults). The TikTok fixes are the reason for the bump. Mirrors the change merged as pwikstrom/fyp_main_v02#24, which landed in the archived repo rather than here; the pyproject floor moves too, as in the previous bump (20895f4). Requires a base-image rebuild on next deploy (requirements.txt changed).

requirements.txt:yt-dlp==2026.7.4→2026.8.19(the one-line diff from #24)pyproject.toml: floor>=2026.7.4→>=2026.8.19— #24 left this out, butthe previous bump (20895f4) moved both
Deploy note:
requirements.txtchanged, so this needs a base-image rebuildbefore the app build, then a deploy of both services. The last bump silently
moved an info-dict field we parse (afc782f, Instagram username →
channel), soa scrape smoke test on all three platforms after deploy is worth the time.
