[UI/UX] Improve mobile footer alignment and ergonomics #2050

Closed

Description

@TheCoderGeekSquadLeader

What would you like to be added / fixed:
Fix the layout and alignment of the footer on mobile viewports.

Why is this needed:
On mobile devices, the footer currently appears cramped and stuck to the left side of the screen. Its items collapse into an excessively long vertical column, which makes navigation cumbersome and forces unnecessary vertical scrolling.

Reorganizing, properly aligning (e.g., using a grid or two-column layout), and condensing these sections would significantly enhance mobile ergonomics and provide a cleaner presentation on smartphones and tablets.

Context:
This was also part of my original issue on php/php-src (#25119), where @jordikroon suggested bringing it to php/web-php.

I am ready to work on a PR to fix this responsive layout issue. Let me know if there are any CSS guidelines I should follow !

    Hi there ! Following the suggestion from @jordikroon in php/php-src#25119, I've opened this issue to track the improvement.

    I would love to take this on and submit a Pull Request. Could a maintainer please assign this issue to me ? If I am not assigned in a few days, I will go ahead and open the PR anyway as per open-source conventions. Thanks !

    After #2044 was merged, it really should have been optimized.

    Thanks for the assignment and the context, @sy-records ! I will check the changes from #2044 to see how the footer is currently structured, and I'll submit a PR to optimize the mobile layout with a grid/two-column approach. I'll keep you posted !
