rust:implementation-tests— complete (broad); inspected 1 assigned file (8 inspected across reviewers):apps/desktop/src-tauri/src/provider.rs; skipped: none; constraints: Referenced is absent from this environment; official Rust API documentation could not be retrieved. Review scoped to the two Rust atomic API replacements and their callers and existing behavioral tests. Package the validated Tauri Linux payload as signed-repository-compatible Arch packages for x86_64 and ARM64. Preserve the desktop launcher/icons and declare Arch runtime dependencies. Include the packages in release assets and checksums; the existing Linux repository dispatch handles publication.
Validation: release contract and Actionlint pass. Both checksum-verified v0.3.18 Debian payloads convert successfully. The x86_64 package installs in a clean Arch container with zero altered files and all runtime libraries resolved. New CI exercises both conversions, rejects version/architecture mismatches, and checks native install/uninstall/reinstall.
The current stable Rust compiler deprecates atomic fetch_update, and CI denies warnings. Rename its two provider uses to try_update as recommended by the compiler, preserving ordering and closures; existing cooldown and lookup-bound tests cover these operations.
