An shield delay removal system developed for Minecraft servers.
Removes the default 5-tick (0.25s) shield warm-up delay and supports Folia and all modern server software.
- Instantly activates the shield on right-click.
- Provides true reflex-based blocking during PvP.
- Completely bypasses the vanilla shield warm-up delay.
- Lightweight and efficient implementation.
- No unnecessary calculations or TPS loss.
- Safe for high-performance and high-player servers.
- Can be enabled or disabled instantly via
config.yml.
You can configure the plugin via config.yml:
# InstantShield Configuration
instant-shield-enabled: true
# Delay in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second) before the shield becomes active
# 0 = instant (default). Vanilla's own delay is 5 ticks.
shield-delay-ticks: 0
# Checks Modrinth for new stable releases (beta/alpha are ignored)
