PAGE does not include the PopupWidth or PopupHeight fields in its output #1713
PAGE does not include the PopupWidth or PopupHeight fields in its output when their stored value is 0. Both fields are present in the source MDL and are accepted without error by mxcli check and mxcli exec, but they disappear from the DESCRIBE output after execution.
Steps to reproduce
Create or migrate a popup page (layout kind PopupLayout) with PopupWidth: 0 and PopupHeight: 0 in the MDL script.
Execute the script: ./mxcli exec <script>.mdl -p .mpr
Inspect the result: ./mxcli -p .mpr -c "DESCRIBE PAGE ."
Observe that neither PopupWidth: nor PopupHeight: appears in the output.
Expected behaviour
Both PopupWidth: 0 and PopupHeight: 0 should appear in the DESCRIBE output, consistent with how other zero-valued numeric fields are reported.
Actual behaviour
Both fields are absent from the DESCRIBE output, making it impossible to distinguish "value is 0" from "field was never set".
Impact
Any automated reviewer or gate script that relies on DESCRIBE PAGE to verify popup dimensions will silently pass a page that has not been configured, because the zero value is indistinguishable from the field being omitted. In our project this affects the P1.2 / P1.3 compliance checks in the migration review checklist; we had to add an explicit workaround noting that source MDL must be read directly.
Workaround
Read the source .mdl file directly instead of relying on DESCRIBE PAGE output for these two fields.
