Keep password, keychain passphrase, and 2FA input on the same line as their prompts. Mask passwords and passphrases with
*, while displaying 2FA codes as typed.Add a shared prompt reader with Unicode, backspace, line clearing, and cancellation support. Write prompts to stderr to preserve structured stdout output.
