Wide SDK surface with renamed TypeScript params (
id_or_name) on nested browser APIs can break typed callers; new WebMCP invoke paths handle untrusted page tool output.Overview
Release 0.98.0 aligns the Node SDK with API routes that accept a browser session ID or name on
/browsers/{id_or_name}/…sub-resources.Browser helpers that previously took
idnow takeidOrNameand hit{id_or_name}paths—covering curl, extensions, telemetry, replays, fs (including watch), process, logs, computer, and playwright. For nested calls (e.g. process kill, replay download, fs watch), param objects renameid→id_or_name, which is a TypeScript breaking change for code that still passesid.browsers.fetchis unchanged and still types the first argument asidonly. This release also adds
client.browsers.webmcpwithlistToolsandinvokeTool, plus related types, exports, tests, and api.md docs. Playwright execute docs note awebmcphelper in the execution sandbox.Telemetry destinations JSDoc is updated for organization-scoped vs project-scoped credentials and header redaction behavior. Version manifests, CHANGELOG, and generated tests/examples use the new shapes.
