Need to check if gh-pages is required

Since updating the output_dir to ../docs/dirX, I'm not sure if it's necessary to switch to gh-pages (master/docs might work). Need to check.

You can't unless you have the webpage hosted in a different location than github. See the requirements:

• not follow the repository naming scheme <username>.github.io or <orgname>.github.io

I have been playing with bookdown and travis recently :D. BTW congrats on your internship in RStudio!

Reading this again, I realize now that I should have given future-me more context! I think I was referring to the fact that the way I've set it up, Travis deploys the book to a gh-pages branch. I was probably wondering if it's also possible for Travis to deploy all of the html's/etc to the master/docs folder instead. That seems to be different from the repo-naming problem, since none of my repos are named isteves.github.io.
