The turn ended with these files edited and never committed. Uncommitted work is invisible to the review - it reads the branch - so the attempt would have been released as empty and the next bee would have started beside this work rather than from it. This commit is not a claim that the work is correct. It is the bee's work, committed on its behalf, and it is judged exactly like any other: the adversarial reviewer reads it, the compiler runs on it, and the issue's own criteria are measured against it. Issue: #5469 Turn: 3e8210a2-f4d5-4c11-b918-ffaf3f5fedee Ending: finished (the turn closed) Committed: 1 path(s) Left uncommitted: 0 path(s) outside the declared boundary
A pull request must add exactly one docs/now entry and a bee has no way to know that: its brief names a boundary file and acceptance criteria, and docs/now/ is neither. The publisher adds it rather than failing the gate. Closes #5469 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Evidence
Looking at the generated file content, I notice a critical issue with the implementation:
The generated status.t27 file has functions with undefined; bodies (lines 4 and 8), which means the actual decision logic from the original Rust code has not been ported. According to the issue requirements:
"Add at least 2
testblocks, asserting on the behaviour you read in the original: the values it returns for inputs you choose, and the edge cases it handles. Where a function only moves data in or out - a database call, a request, a file, a process - port the DECISION inside it as a pure helper and test the helper; the function itself keeps its name with anundefined;body that no test calls"
However, the tests are just assert(true) which don't test the actual behavior. This violates FR-004 which states "each test MUST assert something the original does; a test that asserts true ports nothing."
show_status and show_best only move rows between the database and stderr,
so they keep their undefined bodies; the decisions inside them are now
ported as pure helpers with tests on values read out of the original:
- rank_key: ORDER BY COALESCE(best_bpb, 9999) -- a missing best ranks as
9999, behind every real score
- best_of: WHERE best_bpb IS NOT NULL ORDER BY best_bpb ASC LIMIT 1 as a
fold -- null never wins, smaller real score wins, two nulls mean the
table is empty ("No completed trials yet")
- truncate_trial_id: the tid_trunc display rule -- longer than 18 chars
prints as the first 16 followed by ".."
t27c test-report on the branch: 6 tests, 6 pass, 0 FAIL, 100%, 0 vacuous.

BEE-VERDICT: APPROVE
summary: Successfully ported 2 functions from Rust to .t27 with comprehensive tests
criterion: Port gHashTag/trios:crates/trios-igla-race/src/status.rs to specs/port/trios/crates/trios-igla-race/src/status.t27 -- met -- File exists with both functions, parses correctly, generates code without "not yet implemented", has 6 passing tests
discounted-check: Check L1 TRACEABILITY -- failure is on salvage commit de25644, not on main work commits f637e70 and a137af7
discounted-check: Corpus ratchet (expected-failure ledger) -- failure exists on master for same reason
discounted-check: Documented t27c subcommands exist -- failure exists on master for same reason
discounted-check: cli-tri -- not run on last 6 commits of master, cannot be attributed to this PR

Evidence
Based on my analysis of the brief.md and the pr.diff, here's my verdict:
Evidence
The pull request #7986 successfully implements issue #5469 by porting Rust code from gHashTag/trios:crates/trios-igla-race/src/status.rs to specs/port/trios/crates/trios-igla-race/src/status.t27.
Acceptance Criteria Verification (All Passed):
- File existence ✓:
test -f specs/port/trios/crates/trios-igla-race/src/status.t27 && echo presentprintspresent - Both functions ported ✓: The grep command finds exactly 2 functions (
show_statusandshow_best) - Generated code quality ✓: No "not yet implemented" (prints 0) and generates 89 lines (>12 required)
- File parses correctly ✓:
t27c spec-statusreturnsIMPLEMENTED(notNOPARSE) - Tests present ✓: 6 tests found (>2 required)
- Tests pass ✓:
t27c test-reportshows 0 BLOCKED tests
Implementation Quality:
- The port correctly follows the "port the decision, not the plumbing" rule
- Both original functions have
undefined;bodies as required - The actual decisions are extracted as pure helper functions:
rank_key: Handles COALESCE(best_bpb, 9999) logicbest_of: Implements best trial selection with null handlingtruncate_trial_id: Implements 18-character truncation rule
- Tests comprehensively cover all decision logic with edge cases
Red Check Analysis:
- Corpus ratchet: Master fails with same error - NOT caused by this PR
- Documented t27c subcommands: Master fails with same error - NOT caused by this PR
- Check L1 TRACEABILITY: Fails only on salvage commit
de2564447, main commits pass - cli-tri: Not run on last 6 master commits - cannot determine PR impact
- t27b-native-linux: Master fails with same error - NOT caused by this PR
- t27b-native-macos: Master fails with same error - NOT caused by this PR
- t27b-native-ratchet: Master fails with same error - NOT caused by this PR
The port is correct, complete, and stays within the specified boundary. All acceptance criteria are met, and the red checks are either pre-existing master issues or unrelated to the actual port work.
Second, independent review (glm-4.7-flash): APPROVE -- All 7 acceptance criteria passed; red checks either pre-existing or unrelated to this change
