Fix build workflow after setup-java v6 upgrade

The build GitHub Actions job started failing during Java setup after the workflow moved to actions/setup-java@v6. The workflow was still using the deprecated adopt distribution and a mismatched Java version value, so the job failed before Maven ran.

• Build workflow

  • switch actions/setup-java to a supported distribution: temurin
  • align the configured Java version with the project/tooling expectation: JDK 17

• Failure mode addressed

  • removes the unsupported adopt input that now causes setup-java to terminate the job immediately
  • eliminates the JDK step mismatch where the workflow claimed to set up Java 17 while requesting a Java 25 version string
