Turbulent inflow generator and shock/turbulent boundary layer interaction

Hi,

I came across this code in this paper, which seems interesting. The paper uses FLEXI to simulate a shock-turbulent boundary-layer interaction (STBLI) over a flexible panel. To generate the turbulent inflow, it uses a synthetic eddy method.

However, I do not find any modules about this turbulent inflow generator in the current repo. So I assume this feature is not public?

All in all, I'm considering the possibility of the current repo being used for simulating STBLI. It'd be nice if the turbulent inflow is available.

The turbulent inflow generation is indeed not public at the moment, such that we can only point you to the literature cited in the mentioned paper:

• the work by de Laage de Meux et al. doi.org/10.1063/1.4916019 for the fundamentals of the anisotropic linear forcing (ALF)
• our work doi.org/10.1007/978-3-031-17937-2_17 proposing the recycling-rescaling ALF (RRALF) method, which also contains details on the parallel implementation of the SEM in FLEXI
