Documentation for the 19.11 release. Draft while screenshots and UI details are pending access to a build instance.

Tickets

Ticket Dev ticket Change Pages
61573 60951 Report filters and export cover all rows, no 10k limit reports/reports/standard-reports.mdx
61574 Third import status header for partially updated rows integration/imports/spreadsheet-imports-and-exports.mdx
61622 Backup and restore passphrase fields masked by default administration/appliance-manager/device42-restore.mdx, administration/appliance-manager/setting-up-backup-device42-appliance-manager.mdx
61623 New page: mail server settings, including OAuth2 for Microsoft 365 administration/mail-server-settings.mdx

To do when 19.11 is available

Screenshots

  • 61574: Import results showing all three headers. Replaces the current success-message image, which shows only two categories.
  • 61622: set-passphrase.png, showing the masked field and the show/hide control.
  • 61623: mail-server-settings/basic-authentication-light.png and -dark.png, showing the basic authentication fields. Placeholder is in the page and can be taken now.
  • 61623: Authentication type selector and OAuth2 fields. Placeholders were removed until the feature ships. Re-add them when the screenshots can be taken.

Verify against the build

  • 61574: Confirm the middle header reads "The following lines from worksheet [Name] were partially added or updated (with warnings):". The ticket proposes this wording rather than confirming it.
  • 61622: Confirm the reveal control is an icon. The docs call it the show/hide icon; the dev comment says only "accessible show/hide controls".
  • 61623: Confirm the OAuth2 fields are exactly Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret, and whether the token and authorization URL fields are exposed in the UI. The ticket lists them as optional.
  • 61623: Confirm the authentication type option labels match the page.
  • 61623: Entra setup steps confirmed against an internal Device42 setup guide (Office 365 OAUTH2 setup.docx) and Microsoft's documentation. The permission is SMTP.SendAsApp on the Office 365 Exchange Online API. Note that the ticket says Mail.Send, which is a Microsoft Graph permission and does not apply to SMTP AUTH.
  • 61623: The New-ServicePrincipal and Add-MailboxPermission PowerShell steps are required. The ticket does not mention them.

Notes

  • 61623 is a new page. SMTP mail server settings were not documented anywhere before this, so the page covers basic authentication as well as OAuth2.
  • The Microsoft Entra steps in 61623 link to Microsoft's own documentation rather than reproducing their screens, which change often.
  • 61573 does not state the old 10,000-row limit, as the docs never mentioned it.
  • D42-46276, a live preview toggle on the same reports page, was referenced in the 60951 ticket but is a separate dev item and is not covered here. It needs its own docs ticket if it ships in 19.11.
