fix: remove the stars between two people when one blocks the other - #366
Blocking someone now also removes the stars between the two of you, both ways, deleted commits included
The "starred" notifications for those stars go too
The hot scores of the commits that lost a star are recalculated
Unblocking doesn't bring the stars back
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Blocking now removes stars between both users in both directions and clears notifications associated with those stars.
Stars are also removed from soft-deleted commits. Other users’ stars are preserved, and affected commit hot scores are updated to reflect the change.
Documentation
Updated the blocking guide to explain that blocking removes stars as well as follows. It also clarifies that notifications for removed stars are cleared.
It looks like this branch is under active development. To avoid overwhelming you with review comments due to an influx of new commits, CodeRabbit has automatically paused this review. You can configure this behavior by changing the reviews.auto_review.auto_pause_after_reviewed_commits setting.
Blocking a user now removes stars between the two users in both directions, deletes matching star notifications, and updates hot scores for affected commits. Tests cover reciprocal stars, soft-deleted commits, unrelated stars, notifications, and score recalculation. The knowledge base description reflects this behavior.

Summary
Remove stars and update scores app/Actions/CreateUserBlock.php, tests/Unit/Actions/CreateUserBlockTest.php, KNOWLEDGE_BASE.md
Blocking removes stars between the users and matching notifications, then updates affected commits’ hot scores. Tests cover both directions, soft-deleted commits, unrelated stars, and score recalculation. The knowledge base description reflects the change.
dev-null-sh/dev-null.sh#1078: Adds star controls and star data to notifications, which share the commit-star notification behavior affected by this change.
Merge Risk: Low · previous review 7bc0f
Star cleanup appears implemented, but the score test does not verify recalculation. Fix the test to protect that behavior; this is a bounded merge risk.

Make the test execute deferred score updates before asserting.
RefreshDatabase keeps the test inside an outer transaction. Both score recalculations use DB::afterCommit, so the assertion reads the factory's initial no-engagement score. The test can pass even when CreateUserBlock omits its hot-score update.
Run this test with a transaction setup that executes the after-commit callbacks, then assert that starring produces the engaged score before blocking and that blocking restores the no-engagement score.

Update the “lowers the commits that lost a star back” test to use a transaction
setup that executes DB::afterCommit callbacks. Assert the commit has the engaged
score after CreateCommitStar::handle, then assert it returns to the
no-engagement score after CreateUserBlock::handle.
