Release 0.8.3: bumps the version and dates the CHANGELOG. No tag or npm publish here; Ray merges and pushes v0.8.3.

Changes in 0.8.3 (from CHANGELOG)

Headline

  • Lazy optional runtime SDKs (#44): the CLI no longer imports @cursor/sdk (or other runtime SDKs) at startup. This fixes the npm 0.8.2 crash when @cursor/sdk isn't installed. A missing SDK for the selected runtime fails with an install hint. CI now runs an npm-pack smoke test with zero optional peers.
  • Verify sidecar by default (#45): verifyLogMode defaults to sidecar. Full output goes under verify-logs/, and the prompt gets a tail preview plus the path.
  • Parked runs keep exit 2 (#45): every waiting park exits 2, the same as incomplete (per Paul).
  • Judge failures park the run (#45): the fault is classified, retried once, then the secondary judge is tried as a fallback. If both fail, the run parks with review_judge_failed.
  • Transient worker SDK errors (#45): classified and retried with a session recycle and backoff. The working tree is kept. Runs park after maxConsecutiveTransientAgentErrors (default 3).
  • Also from Harness: sidecar verify, usage split, judge resilience, tool errors #45: a billing token breakdown, tool-error stats, and secondary-review error handling.

Harness² ideas

  • ## Facts block, plain-text tool-call warning + safety rule 7, deliverables/nudges confined to the repo, HTTP/2 CANCEL crash fix (#46).
  • lessons.md is opt-in (default false) and stored and injected as fenced data, not instructions, using the most informative failure lines (#47).
  • stallProbes is opt-in (default false) and uses a git-object workspace snapshot. Restore puts back the branch and HEAD and never deletes files the snapshot's ignore rules ignore; a failed restore parks the run. Documented limits: ignored files aren't snapshotted, and it isn't safe with concurrent writers (one loop per worktree) (#47).

What this PR changes

Checks (local)

  • pnpm build, pnpm typecheck: pass
  • pnpm test: 136 files, 1258 tests passed, plus the node test scripts
  • node dist/cli/run.js --version → 0.8.3

- package.json 0.8.3 (lockfile has no root version; unchanged).
- Version labels kept in sync: README current line, CONSUMERS.md,
  docs/embed-api.md, llms.txt, site/ pages + site/llms.txt, and the site
  version test.
- CHANGELOG: Unreleased -> 0.8.3 — 2026-10-21 with PR links (#44 #45
  #46 #47); adds the parked-runs-exit-2 and deliverables-confined
  entries.

Pass 0: release bump to 0.8.3 across 13 files: package.json, the README current line, CONSUMERS.md, embed-api.md, both llms.txt, the site pages and the site version test. The CHANGELOG ## Unreleased becomes ## 0.8.3 — 2026-10-21, entries are regrouped with PR links, and two entries are added: parked runs exit 2 (per Paul) and deliverables are confined to the repo.
Pass 1: LOW risk. Version strings and docs only, with no code paths changed. The version test was updated to match. CI test (22) is green.

None.

Verdict: PASS

This is a review result, not a merge decision. Paul asked for this release to be merged and tagged, so I'm merging it and tagging v0.8.3.
