This is because we want to offer second factor authentication in the future. We are looking into ways to prefill the password even with a second page.

@Exordian is currently working on login with GitHub, Facebook, Google and LinkedIn. This will be deployed over the weekend.

Anyway we still want to allow people to login without registering with any of the aforementioned IdPs.
