A small college project I'm building to understand how the GitHub API works and how Flask can be used to create web applications.
The idea is simple: paste a GitHub repository link, and RepoPilot fetches useful information about the repository and displays it in a clean dashboard.
🚧 Project Status: This project is still under development. New features are being added whenever I get free time.
- Analyze public GitHub repositories
- Fetch repository information using GitHub API
- Show stars, forks, language and owner details
- Responsive interface
- Basic error handling
- README Generator
- AI repository summary
- Architecture visualization
- Repository health score
- Interview question generator
- Export report
- Python
- Flask
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- GitHub REST API
While building this project I got hands-on experience with:
- Flask routing
- Working with REST APIs
- JSON handling
- Error handling
- Frontend & Backend integration
This project is still a work in progress. Some buttons and planned features are placeholders for now, and I'll keep updating the project as I learn new things.
(I'll keep updating this section as the project grows.)
If you have any suggestions or find any bugs, feel free to open an issue.
