I'm a technology professional and creative with more than three decades of experience working where people, technology, and digital media meet.
My professional career has been rooted in IT support, technology leadership, infrastructure, and the workflows people depend on to get their work done. Alongside that career, I've maintained an active creative practice spanning photography, writing, publishing, and emerging technologies, including assistive and generative AI.

My career spans more than three decades in IT support, infrastructure, systems, and technology leadership. Much of that work has centered on helping people use technology effectively, building and supporting the environments they depend on, and connecting technical solutions with real-world business needs.
Photography and writing have long been parallel parts of my creative work. Through Bill McNamee | The Art of the Create, I publish photography, essays, creative writing, reviews, and explorations of the tools and ideas that shape the creative process.
Through Kerrsplat Publishing, I develop and publish independent creative projects, including photography books and other long-form work. My publishing interests extend from the work itself through editing, design, production, and the technologies that make independent publishing possible.
I use assistive and generative AI as practical tools within professional and creative workflows. My interests include how AI can support research, writing, editing, ideation, technical work, publishing, and other creative processes while keeping human judgment and authorship at the center.
