Build failure: error: no member named 'AWS_ERROR_S3_INTERNAL_PART_SIZE_MISMATCH_RETRYING_WITH_RANGE' #3863

Describe the bug
I got this error after upgrading to:
devel/aws-c-s3: Update to 0.12.8
security/aws-c-auth: Update to 0.10.4
devel/aws-c-io: Update to 0.27.3
devel/aws-c-common: Update to 0.14.2
Error log comes from aws-sdk-cpp 1.11.825 but I got same error on latest 1.11.845 too.

Thanks for reporting this. We've reproduced this. The rename (PART_SIZE_MISMATCH → BUFFER_SIZE_MISMATCH) was introduced in aws-c-s3@a25112e, which is on
aws-c-s3main but hasn't been picked up by aws-crt-cpp yet (latest v0.41.0 still pins an earlier commit). Your system-installedaws-c-s3is ahead of what the SDK expects. Building with the bundled CRT submodules (the default -DBUILD_DEPS=ON) will avoid this. Onceaws-crt-cpppicks up the neweraws-c-s3, we'll update our submodule and this will resolve naturally.nunotexbsd commentedon Jul 16, 2026

aws-sdk-cpp 1.11.848 builds fine again with following updated modules (
-DBUILD_DEPS=OFF):aws-crt-cpp: 0.42.1
aws-c-s3: 0.13.1
aws-c-auth: 0.10.4
aws-c-io: 0.27.4
aws-c-common: 0.14.2
