Frutella

I'm building Caissa Codex, a free chess opening explorer: 3,690 openings with move trees, Lichess statistics by rating, master games and Stockfish evaluations. It runs on a Raspberry Pi 5 at home, behind a Cloudflare Tunnel, and the source is open: agent-carl/chesscodex.

What I work with

  • Web: PHP 8, SQLite, vanilla JavaScript, HTML and CSS, no frameworks
  • Server: Linux (Raspberry Pi OS), nginx, PHP-FPM, systemd, Bash
  • Infrastructure: Cloudflare Tunnel, caching and R2 backups, Git and GitHub Actions
  • Also: SEO with Search Console, and a lot of chess
