Launch v0.1.0: release, rename crate, directories (2026-10-24 plan) #7
Description
Tracking issue for the first public launch of agent-memory as v0.1.0. Plan document: docs/reviews/2026-10-24-launch-plan.md (on the owner's checkout; not yet committed).
Where it stands (verified 2026-10-24)
origin/main= v0.0.1 + 55 commits (76 tests).origin/feat/phase-04-update-relations-hybrid-search(PR feat: Phase 4 — memory_update, typed relations, hybrid RRF search #6) adds 42 commits:memory_update,memory_link/memory_unlink+expand_links, RRF hybrid search, migration 0003 with backup, forgiving FTS5 leg. - Crate name — recommended
agent-memory-mcp. - Ship v0.1.0 from the Phase 4 branch now (recommended) vs. after Phases 5–6.
- Keep REST in the launch story — recommended: keep the code, drop it from README top and demo.
Day-30 gate
= 25 stars or >= 3 external issues/PRs -> v0.2.0 (export/import, musl/Windows). Otherwise follow PORTFOLIO-VERDICT: harvest into codememory, archive with pointer.

2026-10-24 review pass: first 2 hours = merge PR #6, bump to 0.1.0 (incl. path-dep versions), tag v0.1.0 with generated notes, set topics. #14 Smithery is gated. Shared conventions and decision defaults live in the workspace file PORTFOLIO-DECISIONS-2026-10-24.md.

Owner decisions (2026-10-25):
agent-memory-mcp. The executable staysagent-memory.mainnow. Phase 5 (JSONL export/import, Phase 5: portable JSONL export and import (DIST-04, INTEROP-02) #16 / PR feat: Phase 5 — portable JSONL export and import #17) already merged before this decision, so v0.1.0 includes export/import; only Windows binaries (and making musl a hard target) move to v0.2.0. Targets for v0.1.0 are the sixrelease.ymlalready builds.PR #6 (Phase 4) and PR #17 (Phase 5) are merged and CI is green on both. Next: #8 + #9 pre-tag work in one PR, then the tag.
docs(roadmap): re-scope Phase 6 to the v0.1.0 release (launch plan #7)
