This is the v0.11.10 release: the bump, the changelog, one sentence-split fix and the docs for #524.

What ships

  • fix: default to native parsers, fix markdown sentence splits and binstall assets #524 makes the native parsers the CLI default, fixes the markdown sentence splits and adds --lowercase-starts.
  • fix: default to native parsers, fix markdown sentence splits and binstall assets #524 also makes cargo binstall find a prebuilt on all seven targets.
The release adds static musl archives for x86_64 and aarch64 Linux, and the binstall metadata reads the flat Windows zip.
A binstall-smoke job dry-runs every target once crates.io serves the version.
  • Journal titles in reference lists no longer break the line.
    J. Chem. Phys., Front. Chem., J. Chem. Theory Comput., Modelling Simul. Mater. Sci. Eng., SIAM J. Sci. Comput., ACM Trans. Math. Softw. and SIAM J. Optim. each stay inside their sentence.
A list of ISO 4 journal words joins under every --lang.
A run also holds across an unlisted word such as Front or Org when a listed word follows it.
We used Python. Fig. 3 shows still splits.

Docs

  • The README and the quickstart say what cargo binstall downloads and which platforms each release covers.
  • The abbreviation reference lists the journal words and explains the run rule.

Version

cog bump --auto picked v0.11.10 from the commits since v0.11.9.
The bump commit also moves the pins the cog hooks miss: the lock files, the Word add-in, the editor READMEs and the conda version.
The conda sha256 stays as it is until the tag exists.
scripts/check_release_ready.sh passes on the branch head.

Checks

  • cargo test with default features, and with cli, neural, lsp, watch, pandoc, mcp, wasm, passes: 1008 library tests and 789 integration tests.
  • cargo test --no-default-features --lib passes with 928 tests.
  • cargo clippy -- -D warnings and cargo fmt --check are clean.
  • The dogfood --check on the docs and examples exits 0.

Merging

Please merge with a merge commit rather than a squash, so the changelog hashes resolve on main.

Reference lists print journal titles as runs of ISO 4 abbreviations, and snapper broke the line after each one.
`J. Chem. Phys. 150` came out as three lines, and so did `SIAM J. Sci. Comput.` and `ACM Trans. Math. Softw.`.
A new list of journal words joins under every language, since ISO 4 abbreviates the same words everywhere.
Words that also end ordinary sentences, such as `Front` and `Org`, stay off the list.
A run still holds across them when the next piece opens with a listed word, so `Front. Chem. 8` stays whole.
A title or figure reference after a period still opens a sentence.
The install sections now say what `cargo binstall` downloads and which platforms each release covers.
That includes the static musl archives and the Windows zip.
The abbreviation reference lists the journal words and explains how a run holds across unlisted ones.
