We can't upgrade to EF Core 10 because Pomelo is no longer maintained, and we have no way to to use another provider (like Microting.EntityFrameworkCore.MySql) since everything is internal.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add Microting.EntityFrameworkCore.MySql to the supported list of MySql providers, or expose publicly how to get a connection string, so we can use any type of provider we would like.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I've instantiated a custom MySqlEntityFrameworkCorePackageResolver with the Microting.EntityFrameworkCore.MySql assembly and called the internal UseMySql using reflection. Which is not ideal.

These changes will be included in 4.3.0, which will ship in several weeks.

If you would like to test the change or start using the updated package prior to official release, you can use the dev feed any time. As indicated by the state of the milestone, the release is stable and nearly ready for release (its primarily being held up by vacation time)
