What changed

  • prepares package metadata and compatibility validation for OpenDisNet 1.0.1
  • turns completed 0.9/1.0 milestone language into durable stable-release documentation
  • organizes the changelog into actual release sections
  • corrects stale generated XML comments without changing the wire model or public API
  • removes the unused 2.8 MB generated C# reference project while retaining the independent frozen byte-vector corpus
  • adds a 1.0.1 maintenance manifest and note while preserving the original 1.0 audit artifacts unchanged

Why

The repository still contained pre-1.0 defaults, completed release-candidate guidance, and a large test-only reference implementation used by a single test. This made the stable repository look unfinished and obscured which compatibility and audit records are current versus historical.

Compatibility and conformance

This maintenance release does not change public API signatures, PDU layouts, parsing behavior, serialization behavior, supported standards, or conformance vectors. Package validation now uses published OpenDisNet 1.0.0 as the stable baseline.

Validation

  • generator freshness verification: passed for 233 classes and 72 PDUs
  • Release build: passed with zero warnings
  • tests: 307 passed
  • package validation against 1.0.0: passed
  • OpenDisNet 1.0.1 package and symbols: created successfully
  • packed-package consumer: passed on .NET 9 and .NET 10
  • formatting and audit-hash verification: passed
