Everything below is on `main` and reaches no install until a version is cut.

## v1.8.0

2026-10-07. Mark part of a board to talk about it, jump from a reply to the
boards it made, and read a board at full size with a double-click.

- **A magic pen.** Tap Option (Alt on Windows) and the pointer becomes a pen.
Drag across a board to mark a region, and that part of the board goes into
the chat as a quote, with what is inside it named for the agent. Escape or
a second tap puts the pen down.
- **Jump to what a reply made.** Under each of the agent's replies is a
button for every board that run made or rewrote, blue for a new one and
green for a rewritten one. Clicking it brings that canvas forward and fits
the board to the view.
- **A double-click zooms to fill.** Double-click a board, a picture or a
video and it fills the window; a second double-click shows the whole page
again. Notes and text still edit on a double-click.
- **Space presents the selected board** over the whole window. Space, Escape
or a click closes it.
- **The inspector is behind a switch.** Clicking a board no longer opens the
panel on the right. A button on the canvas strip, right of the background
swatch, turns it on, and it then follows whichever board or picture is
selected. A link to one board (`?canvas=<slug>#<file>`) selects that board
and zooms to it.
- **Light, dark or the system's theme**, from a switch at the right end of
the top bar.
- **Colour in the right-click menu**, beside Background, for an arrow, a
line, a note or any other shape that takes one.
- **Only pictures go to the agent as pictures.** The **+** on a board, a
video or a note still shows a picture of it in the chat, but the agent is
handed the file behind it rather than that picture, since the file is what
it can read and change.
- **A project started without a name takes the one its agent gives it.** Its
folder, `Untitled` until then, is renamed when the reply finishes, and the
tab and the address follow.

🔍 Release notes lack the 1.8.0 heading

If this version merges unchanged, the release workflow cannot find ## v1.8.0 and publishes generated notes instead. The current notes remain under ## Unreleased; move them into a versioned section before merging.
