Founding Engineer · Rust, Cloud & ML Systems

I’m a founding engineer with 4+ years building software across startup, consulting, and research environments. My work spans Rust desktop applications, multi-tenant cloud platforms, and computer-vision/ML systems for CAD, GD&T, PDFs, and engineering drawings.

I’m currently a Founding Engineer at F4 Industries (YC S25), leading development of a production Windows application and the cloud platform behind it.

Current work

  • Shipping PDF/CAD ingestion, multi-page review, redlining, and report-generation workflows in Rust and Dioxus.
  • Cut processing time for a 204-PDF batch from 423 to 144 seconds (66%) and median per-file latency by 75%, while matching baseline hashes, file sizes, and page counts.
  • Developing drawing-analysis pipelines with OpenCV and ONNX Runtime for segmentation and symbol recognition.
  • Building multi-tenant services on GCP with Cloud Run, Firestore, and Terraform, plus automated Windows release workflows with GitHub Actions and Cloud Build.

Selected projects

  • WhatShouldIPlay · Live app — A game-picker platform with a React/TypeScript PWA, a Rust/Dioxus desktop client, scheduled data ingestion, and automated releases.
  • Circadian Predictive Coding · Results dashboard — Biologically inspired learning experiments with adaptive wake/sleep cycles, structural adaptation, reproducible benchmarks, and NumPy/PyTorch implementations.
  • ARC Cleaner — A Rust/Dioxus desktop inventory planner with API integration, resilient synchronization, diagnostics, caching, and automated Windows releases.
  • WhatAnimeShouldIWatch · Live graph — An anonymized MyAnimeList data pipeline and weighted recommendation graph with SQLite, TypeScript, and Rust/Dioxus clients.

Earlier work

  • At Pariveda, delivered enterprise React/Nx workflows on AWS and became a recurring point of contact for follow-on client requests.
  • At the University of Alabama Libraries, built software across 20+ research projects, analyzed metadata for 2.4 million books in under 15 seconds, deployed a Flask/OpenAI RAG chatbot, and later built a separate local FastAPI/llama.cpp service.
  • 1st Place, PNC Fintech Challenge (2024) — built a Flask/OpenAI/SQL budgeting assistant.

Core tools

  • Languages: Rust, Python, TypeScript, SQL
  • Applications & APIs: Dioxus, React, FastAPI, Flask
  • Computer vision & ML: OpenCV, ONNX Runtime, OCR, LLM systems, RAG
  • Cloud & delivery: GCP, AWS, Cloud Run, Firestore, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, CI/CD
