Summary

Some info is outdated like it saying "Import is not supported on ontap-nas-economy, ontap-san-economy, or ontap-flexgroup-economy drivers." san-economy is supported for import. Also "Trident cannot configure SnapMirror replication relationships" is not correct, it can create and manage snapmirror relationships. Also customers want step-by-step instructions on how to use svm-dr for DR/MIgration(when purchasing new arrays) of existing environments to another array for Iscsi, NFS for both our economy and normal drivers.

Verified, to do svm-dr with trident and ISCSI and NFS, you have to match the following with the source side after you break the svm-dr relationship with the destination side:

SVM name used by Trident backend
SVM management LIF IP/DNS used by Trident
NFS data LIF IP/DNS if NAS backends
iSCSI data LIF IPs / portals
SVM iSCSI target IQN
CHAP configuration and secrets
igroup initiator membership
LUN mappings
Flexvol names
LUN serials and IDs

This is all currently a manual process, but we should at least document it. this would be using svm-dr for migration in-place(cluster stays the same but storage changes) or an active/passive k8s cluster failover DR architecture using svm-dr
