[1.6] webxr: disable decoder warm-up timeouts by default - #1386
Backport to release/1.6.x so the decoder warm-up watchdogs are off by default.
Cherry-picks fix(webxr): let 0 disable the stream-attach and warm-up timeouts #1257: a timeout <= 0 now disables the stream-attach and warm-up timers instead of firing setTimeout(fn, 0) immediately. The 1.6 branch needs this first, otherwise a default of 0 would drop the stream at once.
Why: a CloudXR runtime with no OpenXR app running streams idle frames, and the client counts them as decoder warm-up frames. The 10 s / 30 s deadlines can then tear down a healthy session that is only waiting for an app to start. Stream-attach detection is unchanged, and a deadline can still be set through the props or the URL/OOB parameters.
The idle-frame handling from #1260/#1262 is not on this branch, so the conflicting hunk in CloudXRComponent.tsx keeps only the new defaults and comment.

Connect the web client to a runtime with no OpenXR app; the session stays up past 30 s
streamAttachTimeoutMs, warmupBeginTimeoutMs and warmupEndTimeoutMs were
passed straight to setTimeout, so 0 fired the timer immediately instead
of turning detection off. Treat a value <= 0 as disabled for each timer.
warmupEndTimeoutMs <= 0 also disables the warm-up-begin timer, since
that timer only hands off to the end timer; stream-attach detection is
unaffected.

A CloudXR runtime with no OpenXR app streams idle frames that count as
decoder warm-up frames, so the 10 s begin and 30 s end deadlines can tear
down a healthy session that is only waiting for an app to start. Default
warmupBeginTimeoutMs and warmupEndTimeoutMs to 0, which disables the
detection; callers and the URL/OOB parameters can still set a deadline.
Stream-attach detection is unchanged.

Warm-up begin and end timeout defaults change to 0 in the React component and 2D UI configuration. Timeout descriptions now explain that zero disables detection, including warm-up-begin detection when the warm-up-end timeout is zero. Timer functions skip scheduling when the relevant timeout conditions are disabled.
The change turns off decoder warm-up timeouts by default, so sessions waiting for an OpenXR app are no longer torn down early. A narrow edge case remains where changing a timeout while a session is already running may not take effect until the next connection. This is unlikely with the current UI, so the change is mergeable with owner awareness.

Explanation
The title names the main change: decoder warm-up timeouts are disabled by default. It matches the raw summary (both warm-up timeout defaults set to 0 across the component, default configuration, params, and UI) and the PR objectives (backport of disabling warm-up timeouts to release/1.6.x). The [1.6] prefix identifies the backport branch. It is short, specific, and single-sentence, and it contains no file lists or vague terms.

If a caller changes a timeout prop without changing config, the effect does not rerun. An active timer can remain armed after its timeout is set to 0 and still disconnect the session.

Read the warm-up-end timeout from a ref when the handoff arms the timer.
The warm-up handoff can skip arming the end deadline after the timeout changes mid-session. armWarmupEndTimer reads warmupEndBaseTimeoutMs from the render in which the session started. The warm-up log handler that starts the end timer keeps that same closure. If warmupEndTimeoutMs changes from 0 to a positive value after sessionstart and before the first warm-up log, the handler still sees 0 and returns. The effect re-arm covers only the begin phase and an end phase already in progress, so the handoff window has no deadline. A stalled warm-up can then stay connected until the user disconnects.
Reading the value through a ref at call time fixes this. Delegates created earlier then see the current value.
Suggested fix
const warmupEndBaseTimeoutMs = warmupEndTimeoutMs ?? WARMUP_END_BASE_TIMEOUT_MS;
+ // Read by armWarmupEndTimer at call time, so delegates created before a config change see the current value.+ const warmupEndBaseTimeoutRef = useRef(warmupEndBaseTimeoutMs);+ warmupEndBaseTimeoutRef.current = warmupEndBaseTimeoutMs;

Update armWarmupEndTimer to read the current warm-up end timeout from a ref when

latest timeout when arming the end timer.

Both need a timeout prop to change after the session has started. Nothing in the app does that: the values are set once per session from the defaults, the URL or the OOB parameters.
Fixing either changes effect re-registration and timer lifetimes, so I'd rather do it once on main and let 1.6 pick it up than diverge the release branch.
These are outside the diff and not review threads, so there is nothing to mark resolved; treating both as acknowledged and out of scope for this PR.
