156.0.4314.50 - DevTools - Opening devtools kills websocket and stall network requests #468

Open

Description

@mortenbj-statnett

After the latest windows 11 updates, I no longer see requests in the devtools network folder.

Lots of back and forth reloading page, and it may show, but it is completely unreliable.

This is a complete showstopper,

    Thank you for reporting this issue. Could you help us narrow down the issue by confirming:

    • Does this happen only on the specific webpage, or on other sites as well?
    • Do you see the same issue in other versions of Microsoft Edge (Beta, Dev, Canary)?
    • Does the issue also reproduce in Chrome?

    Hi, It is only the localhost pages. Now I see it opening devtools and pressing ctrl+r kills out apps websocket:

    Image After some time the websocket is good again and requests gets comming, but dies on the next ctrl+r

    Nothing in the console log.

    It works fine in chrome:

    I tried canary - 'Versjon 158.0.4369.0 (Offisiell build) canary (64-biters)' pressing ctrl+r with devtools, kills the websocket, but it restarts immediately. so it is usable.
