Today specifying -m as a parameter to mdpre creates a make file fragment from all the observed dependencies - whether text embeds or graphics referenced.
In my current co-authored Markdown document there are numerous files calling numerous other files. Getting the embed structure of the document is tedious.
It would be nice to have -m emit a tree of dependencies - commented so that make doesn't try to process them.
