test(purchase): expect #1245's failure alert in the post-CAS safeFail race test (fixes red main) - #1418
main has been red since #1111 merged (6c84280b, CI run 40220778747). Integration Tests (purchase) panics:
--- FAIL: TestPostCASSave_ConcurrentStatusChangeSurvives/safeFail_stamp_after_a_late_recovery
mock: I don't know what to return because the method call was unexpected.
SendPurchaseFailedNotification(...)
#1245 (merged about an hour before #1111) made safeFail alert with SendPurchaseFailedNotification as a terminal-failure writer. #1111's new test was written before that, so its email mock had no expectation for the call. Each PR passed CI on its own. The panic also killed the rest of the purchase integration package, so other tests there didn't run on main.
What changed
Test-only, 9 lines in one file. That subtest now registers the existing failedEmailRecorder (from failure_notify_test.go) and asserts the race never sends more than one alert for the row. The row assertions are unchanged.
A fixture-wide .Maybe() stub would be simpler, but I tried it and it breaks #1245's own TestRecoverStrandedApprovals_ClaimedRowTurnedUnsafeIsFailedNotBought. testify matches the first registered expectation, so the stub swallows the call before that test's recorder sees it.
Verification
Linux, Go 1.26.10, Docker Postgres, on origin/main (6c84280b) plus this commit:
go test -race -tags integration -count=1 ./internal/purchase/: ok (277s). The whole package ran, so nothing is masked by the panic any more.
go test -race -short -count=1 ./internal/purchase/ ./internal/mocks/: ok, including the TestNoUnfailableMockAssertions guard.
golangci-lint v2.10.1 with --build-tags integration on internal/purchase: 0 issues. gofmt clean.
git-secrets in an isolated temp repo: clean; planted key flagged.
Fail-before: main's CI run above.
Note: the alert's wording for reaped and swept rows (it currently says "retry manually") is being fixed separately; this PR doesn't touch the alert's content.
Expanded coverage for concurrent purchase failure handling, verifying that a race sends at most one failure email alert while still counting the failed-status transition.
…AS safeFail race test
main is red since LeanerCloud#1111 merged (6c84280): Integration Tests (purchase)
panics in TestPostCASSave_ConcurrentStatusChangeSurvives/safeFail stamp
after a late recovery. LeanerCloud#1245, merged an hour earlier, made safeFail send
SendPurchaseFailedNotification as a terminal-failure writer, and LeanerCloud#1111's
new test was written before that, so its email mock had no expectation
for the call. The panic also killed the rest of the purchase integration
package. Each PR was green on its own.
Register the existing failedEmailRecorder in that subtest only and assert
the race never alerts twice for one row. A fixture-wide .Maybe() stub
would shadow the recorder in LeanerCloud#1245's own
TestRecoverStrandedApprovals_ClaimedRowTurnedUnsafeIsFailedNotBought,
because testify matches the first registered expectation. The test's row
assertions are unchanged.

The safe-fail race integration test now records failed-email notifications and asserts that the race produces at most one. It retains the existing no-error assertion and sweep transition count assertion.
The integration test should require the expected failed-purchase alert before merging.

Assert exactly one failed-email alert for the won safeFail flip.
The LessOrEqual(..., 1) check also passes when safeFail sends no alert. That is a wrong result for this race. The flip to failed wins the compare-and-set, so the row must alert once. A regression that drops the safeFail alert would still pass this test.
Suggested fix
- assert.LessOrEqual(t, len(failedMail.all()), 1, "the race must not alert twice for one row")+ assert.Len(t, failedMail.all(), 1, "the won safeFail flip alerts once for the row")

Merged by IAmJSD's agent at IAmJSD's request (acting owner): fix for red main, merged as soon as the required checks passed on 9ebbac84a613c31cbe828af330dd5f6f95138e5e. Test-only; evidence in the PR body.

…save loses (#1417)
* test(purchase): expect the failure email in the post-CAS safeFail race test
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(purchase): send the failure email only after the failed status is saved
safeFail notified from a defer placed right after the CAS, so a late
recovery that completed the row before the guarded stamp still produced a
false purchase-failed email for a bought recommendation. Skip the email
when the guarded save loses to a concurrent status change.

came from the main breakage that LeanerCloud#1418 fixed. No files conflicted.
