Thanks for the report! Filee recognises file managers other than Explorer by their program name (Files, Directory Opus, Total Commander, XYplorer, OneCommander, Q-Dir, FreeCommander), and File Pilot isn't on that list yet, so the drag gesture doesn't count it as a file manager.
Could you open Task Manager → Details while File Pilot runs and tell us the exact name of its .exe? Then we can add exactly that name.
Until then: Settings → Shortcuts → "Active in" → Everywhere for the drag gesture makes the donut open over File Pilot too (apps where you don't want it can go under "Never trigger in these apps").
Which way did you try to convert: Ctrl + drag, the keyboard shortcut with files selected, or something else? The keyboard shortcut reads the selection from Explorer only, so it won't see files selected in File Pilot even after the name is added.
Thanks, @NagsWH! FPilot.exe is now on the list of file managers (#694), so from the next release a Ctrl + drag out of File Pilot opens the donut like one out of Explorer, with the default "File managers and desktop" setting. Until then, setting the drag gesture to Everywhere (Settings → Shortcuts) works.
