  • Update Effect to 4.0.0-rc.115 and Vitest to 5.0.1
  • update dependencies
  • Upgrade Playwright to 1.63.0

Note

Medium Risk
Playwright and Vitest major-line upgrades can affect consumers’ peer deps and CI; new wrappers are additive but follow upstream 1.63 semantics.

Overview
Upgrades Playwright (playwright-core, playwright, @playwright/test) to 1.63.0 and bumps dev/tooling peers (Effect 4.0.0-rc.115, Vitest 5, Biome, Vite, tsdown, lockfile). The changelog’s 0.8.0 Features section documents this release.

The library now exposes Playwright 1.63 capabilities on the Effect wrappers:

  • dialogclosed on Page and BrowserContext event streams (wrapped Dialog payloads).
  • frameLocator() on Page and Frame (optional selector searches the frame subtree / descendants).
  • Locator.visible(), plus ariaSnapshotJSON() on Page and Locator.
  • Public types JsonValue and AriaSnapshotJSON, re-exported from the Playwright API entry.

Tests cover dialog-close events, frame locators, visibility filtering, and JSON aria snapshots.
