### Q: My deployment failed but the status page is all green?

https://status.maven.org/ is not always up to date, and sometimes the service is down even if the status page doesn't show it. If nothing else works, wait a few hours before retrying.

### Q: My usage page is all red? What is going on?

Starting in June 2026, [Sonatype started monitoring usage](https://central.sonatype.org/news/20260716_publisher_pro_update/) for publishers and notifying them when above quota through the [usage center](https://central.sonatype.com/publishing/usage).

This is especially problematic for Kotlin Multiplatform projects because of the large volume of files for each different platform. As of September 2026, quotas haven't been enforced yet. [Some users have reported](https://bsky.app/profile/speekha.bsky.social/post/3mu5og3vrmk2s) that they could get an extemption. You can ask at `central-support@sonatype.com`.

To mitigate this issue:

* Gradle 9.7+: doesn't publish the `.asc.md5`, `.asc.sha1`, `.asc.sha256` and `.asc.sha512` checksums.
* Nmcp 1.6.1+: doesn't publish the `.sha256` checksums.
* Kotlin 2.5 is [planned to introduce `.kar` files](https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KT-87910/Implement-Kotlin-Archive-.kar-publication-format).

This is all in flux...
