Each file was picked by exact model title on Wikimedia Commons, is a JPEG photo, and carries a free license (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA) recorded in image_license with the uploader in image_attribution. Summary
TechPicks' top-15 canonical phones still had no photo after the automated Commons backfill (its gate only looks at each Wikipedia article's lead image, which is often a PNG render for recent flagships). These 9 were picked by hand from Wikimedia Commons by exact model title:
