The Variation Categorizer (VarCat) is a web platform developed to support structured pediatric somatic cancer variant classification. VarCat is designed to simplify the application of community somatic variant classification guidelines and support standards-based dissemination of variant interpretation knowledge using GA4GH Genomic Knowledge Standards.
The demonstration platform provides a public-facing example of how VarCat can be used to represent, review, and disseminate pediatric somatic cancer variant classification knowledge. It is intended to support grant review, collaborator orientation, and future documentation for users evaluating the VarCat workflow.
This repository is be used to:
- Provide citation metadata for the VarCat Demonstration Platform
- Document the goals and scope of the demo site
- Link to the demo landing page when it becomes available
- Collect user-facing documentation for demonstration workflows
- Support archiving through GitHub and Zenodo
