FountainTextLayoutKit is the rendering-neutral FCIS-KIT boundary for readable Markdown/Fountain text layout.
It owns:
- semantic text roles and source-preserving block inputs;
- an injectable measurement protocol;
- deterministic word wrapping, keep-together hints, and visible overfull diagnostics;
- preservation of preformatted Fountain/code line shape; and
- an Apple adapter that maps semantic prose roles to proportional SwiftUI system text styles and reserves the Courier/system-monospace register for explicit code and Fountain source roles.
The package does not parse Markdown, own Reframe mediation, own FountainStore, choose a provider/lane, expose MIDI2 or
OpenAPI operations, or draw text in SVG/Core Graphics. FountainMarkdownPresentationKit remains the parser and
source-preserving Markdown/Fountain authority. Reframe applies the resulting tokens to native accessible text views.
ScoreKit/RulesKit and Teatro remain separate domain projections.
Version 0.1.0 is admitted and released. The package has 5 focused unit tests; Reframe consumer integration and an
isolated AX/window-ID/Store Composer projection witness are recorded by the consumer. Hardware interoperability,
provider authorization, and production deployment are not claims of this release. See CHANGELOG.md for the release
boundary.
