libclc-22.1.8-r1 compiling fails with ungodly ram usage

Hello ! I tried disabling lto and pipe, same result. I do use -O3, didn't try with -O2. Compile fails at the last steps and uses up all the RAM + swap (45GiB). An amount that freezes the whole desktop before failing the compilation. I don't really know which files are relevant to you for debugging, let me know and I'll send them. Emerge at the time of the fail :

I would've tried to update to libclc 23 but Mesa seems to require 22

I did have a "-j1" override in the ebuild for llvm 22, it's no longer required for llvm 23

Hello, fyi I managed to compile 23.1.1-r1 by using a mesa 26.3 pre-release. Tho, the libclc package didn't install spirv64-mesa3d-.spv file, which seems to be required to run rusticl (at least for darktable).

Keeping libclc 23.1.1-r1 I followed the darktable issue on the matter (darktable-org/darktable#21662) and handpicked the spirv64-mesa3d-.spv file from https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/karolherbst/mesa-libclc/-/releases and put it in my /usr/share/clc/ directory. This worked. I really don't think it's a "good" way of doing but it works.

Why does it install spirv-unknown files on libclc 23.x ? It has the same behavior for the gentoo official ebuilds, I was wondering why is that if that don't work

Sorry I forgot about this, I've added the j1 back, I'm doing quite a lot in the overlay at the moment using newer llvm, clang & rust

I'll probably remove 22 soon so it shouldn't cause you as many issues
