Half Dragon, Half Wolf, mostly powered by biscuits. 🐉🐺🍪
I'm a systems-focused developer, DayZ modder, Linux enthusiast, and co-owner/admin of the New Dawn UK PvE DayZ servers.
I like taking things that are unnecessarily complicated, repetitive, or downright irritating and building tools that make them calmer and easier to use. Sometimes that's a DayZ mod. Sometimes it's a Linux desktop app, an API, a school administration tool, or a game nobody asked for.
A lot of that work now lives under Wolf Forge: a small, biscuit-powered software workshop.
Complex underneath. Calm and simple on the surface.
- Wolf Launcher - A Linux-first DayZ launcher with Windows support, server discovery, mod handling, preflight checks, and a focus on making the complicated parts less painful. Public beta releases are available.
- WolfAPI - The released DayZ server discovery API, providing current directory data, caching, and quality information.
- AMP (Andy's Media Player) - A lightweight media viewer and player with a simple, distraction-free interface.
- cosyFTP - A lightweight FTP client born from the conviction that transferring files shouldn't be an obstacle course.
- Photo Fun Frames - Simple, playful photo frames in the browser, with processing kept on your device.
- Modular Vest System - Maintenance and modernisation work on Count Orlok's original DayZ equipment mod.
- DayZ Admin Tools - Modular, practical utilities for server administrators, including the Repair Kit, Ouroboros Battery, and LEHS Override.
- Territory Pest Control - A server-side DayZ mod that keeps infected and unwanted wildlife out of areas around raised vanilla territory flags.
These are at different stages of development, testing, or exploration; not all are public releases.
- Wolf Insights - A longer-term home for historical server data and analysis.
- Wolf Config - Tools to make editing DayZ configuration less of a chore.
- Wolf PBO tools - Unpacking, building, and configuration tools, individually and as a cohesive toolbox.
- Biscuit Jigsaw - A cosy browser puzzle game about taking your time, not racing a clock.
- SBMToolBox - Practical tools for School Business Managers: fewer repetitive jobs, clearer workflows, and no attempt to replace the humans doing the work.
Some experiments get shelved when a simpler existing solution turns out to be better. That's a success too.
- HELLDIVERS 2 StreamController plugin - Contributions to a Linux-friendly way of triggering stratagems from Stream Deck-style devices.
- Calm and clever. Solve problems without causing cognitive overload.
- Calm on the surface. Keep complexity available without making everybody wrestle with it.
- Small tools are allowed to stay small. Not everything needs to become a platform.
- Craft matters. Judge the finished experience, not whether the work was made by a human, AI, or both.
- Privacy comes first. Zero tracking, no unnecessary data collection. Your data stays with you.
- Build, test, learn, improve. Sometimes the first version is just the beginning.
Built by humans. Built by AI. Built together.
Judged by what we create, not how we create it.
At Wolf Forge, every project deserves care, craftsmanship and a reason to exist.
Made with care. Powered by biscuits.
If something I've made has saved you time, fixed an annoying problem, or made your day easier, you can support my open-source work through GitHub Sponsors.
It's never expected. It helps with development, domains, hosting, testing, and the occasional emergency biscuit.
The long-term ambition is still simple: keep building useful and occasionally weird things; preferably from a quiet workshop, with a reliable supply of biscuits.
